Let our voices be heard! Help send 38 young artists, ages 17-24, from cities across the globe to Palermo, Italy for the Breaking Walls 11th Annual Global Summit.

What is Breaking Walls? Our motto is “Connect, Create, Change.” We are a youth empowerment movement promoting global peace through creative activism.

Who are the artists? We represent diverse cultures, different religions, and varied socio-economic backgrounds. Among us, we include differences in sexual orientation, education, and persons with disabilities. Our immigration standing varies – some of us cope with displacement or refugee status. We come from cities as far apart as Barcelona, Bethlehem, Brooklyn, Cape Town, Detroit, Santiago, Tangier, Warsaw, Yerevan, and Palermo.

Why the Summit? This year’s summit in Palermo connects young people from across the globe as ambassadors for peace. Through the arts – including spoken word, visual arts, music, dance, and other forms – we explore individual expression, uncover our artistic voices, and ultimately discover common ground. Together, we create a unified ensemble performance.

Help us get there! We’re raising $7,500.00 to ensure our 11th Annual Summit becomes a reality. Contributions offset the costs of travel, room and board, materials, and cultural excursions for each artist. Any donation makes a HUGE impact.
