Help Keep Brownsville Animal Defense going

Want to join us in making a difference? We are raising money to benefit Brownsville Animal Defense, and any donation will help make an impact.
Brownsville Animal Defense is a non-profit animal rescue group in South Texas. Our city is one of the poorest in the state. The number of dogs that require help outnumber us 1 to 20. We take on average  anywhere between 200-500 dogs a year; unfortunately this is a small number compared to how many actually need help. Some of these dogs get transported to rescues up North, some get adopted locally, and unfortunately sometimes we lose them.  However, they all get vetted and given anything they need while in our care.

We rely completely on donations and support from our community. With COVID -19 it has completely changed how we raise funds and how many dogs we can take in. This has led to us asking for help through other avenues. We are on the verge of closing our doors and this would not only be devastating, it would be detrimental to the community.  Any amount donated would help to allow us to continue to serve the community. 

We take strays, owner surrenders, dogs from the shelter, and sometimes we take in severe medical cases. On average our vet bills at just one vet is $4000! That is not including the other vets and the cost needed to cover food and other necessities.

We are starting out asking for a small amount and yes we know that $50k does not sound like a small amount. However when it comes to rescue, you would be surprised how fast that money goes.
