Our family is going through one of the most difficult moments of our lives. My Husband is currently facing deportation while our newborn baby is fighting for her health in the NICU. He is a DACA recipient who was detained just a few days after our baby girl's birth -- he never even had the chance to hold her.
Our Baby girl was born prematurely, and doctors recently found that she has low hematocrit, meaning she has a low level of red blood cells needed to carry oxygen through her body. Because of this, she is currently undergoing a 24-hour blood transfusion to stabilize her and give her strength to keep fighting.
At the same time, my husband is in immigration custody and at risk of being deported. He is blood type O positive, and the baby is A positive, meaning he could potentially be a compatible donor for her. More importantly, she needs her father here during this critical time in her life.
We are working urgently with an attorney to fight his case, file the necessary legal actions, and do everything possible to keep him here while our baby continues her medical care.
This situation has also been shared publicly in hopes of bringing attention and urgency to his case, and to prevent our family from being separated during such a critical moment.
We are asking for your support to help cover:
• Legal fees for his immigration case
• Medical-related expenses
• Travel and family support during this emergency
Any donation, no matter how small, makes a difference. If you are unable to donate, please help us by sharing our story.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your prayers, support, and for standing with our family during this time.
