Hi, my name is Mary. I’m raising funds for my baby, Atlas.

Atlas was recently diagnosed with IVDD and urgently needs spinal surgery — without it, we will be forced to put him down.

Frenchies are at higher risk for this condition, and surgery is the only way to relieve the compression on his spinal discs and give him a chance at a long, healthy life. The procedure costs between $8,000 and $10,000. We created this GoFundMe to help raise the money needed for Atlas’s surgery.

IVDD can appear suddenly, and many dogs become paralyzed within just 24 hours. There isn’t usually a specific trigger—it's often the result of ongoing pressure on the spine, poor back support, and genetics.

Unfortunately, Atlas was no exception. Just a day earlier he was healthy and recovering well from his neuter surgery. Within hours, he went from doing great to screaming in pain and unable to walk.
