Help keep a Widowed Father on his feet

On January 29th 2015 my Wife Stephanie Malone, the mother of our three daughters, at the young age of 47, suffered a Massive Brain Stem Stroke. She spent 7 months in a Sub Acute Unit to wean her off of her tracheostomy. The weaning process was successful and as her husband I decided to step away from my job and be a fulltime 24/7 Caregiver at our home after she was discharged, especially since our three daughters ranged from elementary to high school at the time and needed me. Steph had been homeschooling our girls at the time of her stroke so I had big shoes to fill for our daughters as well. Since the stroke had caused her to become a full fledged Quadriplegic I knew I had my work cut out for me, and as each day passed I became more experienced and knew one on one care at home was the right decision. Taking care of Steph by myself for almost 5 years took its toll on myself and our daughter's. The final 11 months were the most difficult when Steph was diagnosed with stroke related vascular dementia. Through the first 3 years Steph showed some signs of improvement after attending many Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy sessions. Though the prognosis wasn't positive, she continued to battle her way against all odds. She wanted nothing more than to be there for her Husband and Daughter's like she'd always had been. The final months of Steph's life consisted of numerous stays at the hospital due to pneumonia which takes the lives of many stroke patients. The pneumonia finally grew resistant to the strongest antibiotics that the hospital could administer. After a courageous uphill battle Steph passed away on January 13th 2020. As a Family we have many tough days and months ahead of us as we go through the grieving process of losing such an amazing Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, and Sister. As hard as this is for myself due to the fact that we always helped those before ourselves, all of our finances came to a halt when Steph passed away. In Home Supportive Services (IHSS) was paying myself to care for Steph at home and we cannot collect any of her Social Security (SSI) due to myself not being old enough to do so. I'm asking Family and Friends and all those tied together to help a Family in need as we mourn the loss of someone so deeply dear to our hearts. Any donation will be welcomed with love until I'm prepared to seek employment. Thank you to all of you who followed our journey and Prayed and sent healing vibes to our Family.    R.I.P. Steph, no more suffering and You are whole again, and more beautiful than ever... Thank You once again... The Malone Family ❤
