A single mother in Minneapolis is facing an urgent and frightening situation and needs immediate community support.
She is caring for her baby alone and has been effectively trapped inside her home due to ongoing ICE activity in her neighborhood, including officials coming directly to her doorstep. Out of fear for her and her baby’s safety, she has been unable to leave the house to work, access resources, or get basic necessities.
As a result, she is now one month behind on rent and at risk of losing her housing. She is forced to be entirely dependent on community to protect her family. Her rent is $1,100, and she also urgently needs support for baby formula and diapers.
In addition, she is trying to raise funds to safely transport her baby to trusted family in her home country, where the baby can be protected while she works to stabilize her situation and figure out next steps. This decision is being made out of deep love and necessity, not choice.
