Help Keep a Veteran Seattle Musician in Seattle!
Joey Kline--a gifted guitarist, singer and songwriter--has been an active member of Seattle's vibrant music scene for more than three decades.
Joey is a founding member of the notorious Squirrels--a legendary comedy-rock outfit fronted by Rob Morgan. Joey also plays with Zooma Bella (a cabaret trio), and he fronts Kline's 57, his current band. He has also played and toured extensively with Roy Loney, founder of the legendary Flamin' Groovies. He has played with Bo Diddley and Sandra Bernhardt, and opened for Squeeze, the Fabulous Thunderbirds, and Jimmie Dale Gilmore, among others.
Sadly, Joey has become something of an economic victim of Seattle's tech explosion and gentrification, which has dramatically changed Seattle's cultural landscape and forced many artists out of town.
Like many Seattle musicians, Joey lives from paycheck to paycheck, working two jobs--while at the same time writing, producing and performing.
An automotive mishap has threatened to permanently sideline Joey from his beloved Seattle musical community, and perhaps force him into bankruptcy and out of town.
Please consider helping Joey with a few of your hard-earned dollars. In doing so, you will help, in a larger sense, to keep Seattle's music scene alive. Joey has done the same for others--most recently, he organized and headlined Lucas Lift! a benefit concert to raise tuition for Lucas Galvan, young Seattle ballet dancer. Now, Joey needs some help.
For any donor contributing $100 or more, Joey will play a private house/chamber concert, accompanied by one or more of his many talented compadres. He thanks you in advance for your generosity.
