We are Mi Causa, a family-owned Peruvian restaurant formed by two partner families who came to Minnesota with a clear and big dream: to work honestly, move forward, create jobs and leave a meaningful legacy for our children. Together, we have built this business through hard work, sacrifice, and deep love for our culture and for the community that hugged us in the beautiful state of Minnesota. This restaurant is not just our job; it is the livelihood of our families, our young children, and the result of years of perseverance and dedication. Mi Causa represents hope, family unity, and the desire to grow by doing things the right way. Unfortunately, due to an unexpected situation and operational factors beyond our control that are directly impacting our community, we have been forced to temporarily close our doors. Despite this temporary closure, our expenses continue. We are still responsible for ongoing monthly costs such as: • Rent • Utilities • Bank loans • Other financial obligations necessary to keep the restaurant alive In addition, we feel a deep responsibility toward our employees. They also have families who depend on this work. We want to continue providing them with jobs so they can support their families, during this difficult time. Our commitment is to support them and help ensure that they and their families can get through this moment. For this reason, we have started this fundraising campaign with a goal of $70,000, which will allow us to cover approximately three months of expenses, support our team, and keep the restaurant afloat while we work to resolve this situation and prepare to reopen. Any support, no matter how small, makes a meaningful difference. One dollar, two dollars—everything helps and brings us closer to continue operating without a permanent closure.
