Help keep a family close with 345kms between them

As many of you have recently heard, local 16 year old lad, Lachlan Burns, the youngest member of Burns family, underwent a completely unexpected, intense and life changing surgery just a few weeks ago.
Post operation in Bega, Lachlan is now recovering and rehabilitating from this life threatening illness in RPA in Sydney, while his parents and older sisters are left juggling work commitments, long trips back and forth between Dalmeny and Sydney almost daily, and supporting Lachlan through what is looking like a long road to recovery.
As most of you are aware, Alan, Alison and their 3 children have been highly respected and positive mentors within the local Narooma / Dalmeny Community, and as a tight knit family they wear their hearts on their sleeves, and have built a reputation here filled with the upmost respect.
Not only that, their home (and entire lives) have been a safe and welcoming place where ‘family’ is always at the forefront of their Family Daycare business. The entire family have solely dedicated their lives to not only helping to care for so many local families, but also nurture, love, nourish and teach so many adoring little souls; always offering SO much more than just a ‘child care’ facility - they truly are the definition of family caring for family.
Currently Lachlan has been moved from the ICU, with quite a large amount of skin graft surgeries in his future, and he will remain an inpatient in RPA for the foreseeable future. His road to recovery will take a few months at best - and that’s not taking into consideration the continuing journey of follow up appointments in Sydney.
Any money raised will be going straight to travel and accommodation for the Burns family; assistance with bills and utilities while Alan and Alison take time off work to be with their son; and help ease the financial burden of living life on the precipice, with 345kms between their Son and their home & businesses.
Funds raised will also assist them with ongoing travel expenses both while Lachlan recovers in RPA, Sydney, and the many trips to and from Sydney for check-ups and specialist appointments and services once Lachlan returns home.
The Burns family have gone above and beyond for both their Community and the children they help care for through kindness, patience, compassion and nurturing.
As always, every cent counts: and the family are already feeling eternally grateful and overwhelmed by the outpour of love and compassion shown towards the entire family
