Hi, I'm John.

For nearly three decades I've been creating comics, cartoons, and stories. Right now I'm in the middle of finishing a new issue of my comic, while also searching for stable day-job work to get my finances back on solid ground. Because I have always supported my work with day jobs, as my work, though acclaimed, is not at all commercial.

I'm asking for help because I've hit a difficult stretch. The immediate goal of this fundraiser is simple: keep up with rent, utilities, groceries, and other basic bills while I complete the current issue and continue my job search.

This isn't a request for a permanent subsidy. It's a bridge.

The money raised will go toward:

Rent

Utilities and internet

Groceries and household expenses

Transportation and job-search costs

Food and care for my three cats

The cats, admittedly, are terrible at contributing financially. Their business model appears to consist entirely of sleeping, demanding meals, and occasionally reminding me that something in the apartment belongs on the floor. Nevertheless, they're family, and keeping them fed and cared for matters to me.
