Help Keep 65 Community Cats Fed — Emergency Car Repair
For the past 10 years, I’ve dedicated my life to feeding, trapping, fixing, and protecting homeless cats. What started with one small colony has grown into a nonstop commitment to 65 community cats who depend on me every day.
Every night, I feed 9 colonies in North Long Beach (55 cats) and 3 additional locations on weekends. I no longer live in Long Beach — I drive from San Pedro nightly to make sure food reaches every colony. I have no backup. If I don’t go, the cats don’t eat.
A few days ago, my car unexpectedly broke down. It has a failed transmission, and the repair estimate is $3,500 — an expense I simply cannot afford. I already struggle enough just to cover food, vet care, and litter for the cats at home.
Because I didn’t have transportation, a pregnant cat recently couldn’t be dropped off to me to bring to the clinic for a spay abort and she was later released by her trapper. That means kittens will be born into suffering on the streets — exactly what TNR is meant to prevent. This was heartbreaking and preventable with reliable transportation.
Goal: $3,500 — Emergency Transmission Repair
This fundraiser is to cover the cost of repairing my car so I can:
* Continue feeding 65 cats nightly and on weekends
* Transport cats to spay/neuter and emergency vet appointments
* Prevent future litters and ongoing suffering
* Maintain stability for colonies that have relied on me for years
If the vehicle is deemed unsafe to repair or cannot be reliably fixed, any funds raised will be applied toward securing a reliable replacement. Transparency is important to me, and updates will be shared along the way.
This work is ongoing and never-ending. I actively trap and fix new cats as they appear, help others in their neighborhoods, and take in sick cats myself. I do this because they have no one else.
Asking for help is incredibly difficult for me, but I’m asking now because the cats cannot go without. Every donation, no matter the size, and every share makes a real difference.
If you can help in any way — by donating or sharing — please know it means everything to me and to the cats who depend on this every single night.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for caring.
