For those of you who have had the privilege and pleasure of meeting and knowing Keely know she is a beacon of light.
Keely was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma about 3 years ago and beat it in 2 years. Since her remission, Keely has become sober and has committed herself to giving even more love, energy, time and money to others than she did before.
Unfortunately, two weeks ago we found out the cancer is back. Since she has been through countless radiations and chemotherapy already, this is not a viable option for her anymore. Keely needs a donor stem cell transplant. Stem cells will be separated from donor's blood then after they've knocked her immune system to zero, they will infuse her with donor stem cells which will save her life giving her a new immune system to fight the cancer. However, there is a 20% chance her body will deny the transplant and there will be no other options left. Keely's next PET scan is in two months and she needs to make a decision soon. She wants to get a second opinion for other options at one of the best cancer hospitals in Texas before she decides but even a consultation is incredibly expensive.
Whether she decides to move forward with the procedure or get a second opinion... This is all going to be incredibly overwhelming financially. Keely has been dealing with her insurance dropping her and medicare part B not being activated in time for her procedures.
Any amount will help in Keely's fight to beat this horrible cancer again. I would want nothing more than for Keely to be able to focus on her health and in getting better without the burden of financial debt or overwhelming medical bills.
I have watched Keely grow into the strong, resilient and incredibly generous woman she is today. She gives so much in love, energy, time and money. I hope we will be able to give back as much life and love as she has given to our world.
