My name is Keeks and I’m a trans man from Newcastle. When I first came out to my friends and family there were a few things I couldn’t predict, namely the emotional and financial burden of my worsening disability, and the growing hostility towards trans people in the UK, including within the NHS.

I’m fortunate enough to have been on testosterone for the best part of a few years, but I need help funding the next part of my journey. Thanks to the encouragement of my boyfriend, who has seen how much this is effecting me mentally, I’ve made this fundraiser to ask for help accessing top surgery.

Despite what the news wants you to believe, I’m just a person. I like to read, play video games, go to the theatre, write comics, spend time with my boyfriend, my siblings, my friends, my dog. I stay up too late watching TV and I like playing sports even though I’m not great at them. I’m not a monster, I’m just a guy that needs a bit of extra help to become myself, and maybe you could help.
