My passion for nursing began in childhood, always finding fulfillment in helping others. Over the past seven years as a CNA, especially working in a dementia unit for the last five, I’ve seen firsthand how much of a difference compassionate care can make. Every day, I strive to bring comfort and dignity to those who need it most, and I’ve built strong bonds with my long-term patients. Their trust and the gratitude from their families remind me why I chose this path.
Right now, I’m facing a major hurdle. I’ve fallen behind on my tuition, and my school won’t let me register for new classes until I pay off my overdue balance. I’m already working full-time hours while attending school part-time, but increasing my workload further would jeopardize my studies. I’ve explored loans, but without a cosigner, that’s not an option. This setback threatens to halt my progress toward earning my BSN, RN, and eventually my master’s in nursing.
Nursing is more than a career for me—it’s my calling. My ultimate goal is to help shape the next generation of nurses, creating a better environment for both patients and caregivers. I want to continue making a difference, not just at the bedside, but by educating and supporting fellow nurses. With your support, I can overcome this financial barrier and keep moving forward on my journey to serve others and improve the quality of care in my community.
