Help K.D. and Tammy Through This Tough Time

K.D. and Tammy Hill have always been the type of people who pour into any community they've come into contact with. From the community in NW Arkansas where they started their lives together and spent countless hours in the churches they attended, mentoring, teaching, counseling, and guiding both their peers and impressionable young people and families looking for someone to help them find their way through life's challenges. To the little community in NE Oklahoma where they worked to build an incredible resort where people can spend time with their loved ones and in nature, as well as supporting and sponsoring many fundraisers for the community as a whole, but specifically for the FAA program, something that has always been dear to K.D.'s heart. To the various communities K.D. has touched on his countless mission trips all over the country and the world.

The time has come that K.D. and Tammy could use some of that same passion and support from those very communities they poured so much into.

On October 7, 2024, K.D. began having some trouble speaking. It started with just mixing a couple of words up here and there to, over the course of just a few days, having difficulty speaking altogether. Appointments and scans were scheduled, and they came to find a mass in K.D.'s brain. More appointments and more scans were scheduled, as well as a surgery to determine exactly what this mass was. Unfortunately, the diagnosis came back as a grade 4 glioblastoma, the most aggressive form of brain cancer there is. Treatments were started after the mass was removed, but they proved to be ineffective, as is often to be expected with this terminal illness. The mass grew back and has begun to take a toll on K.D.

K.D. and Tammy moved back to NW Arkansas to move in with K.D.'s mother to be closer to family and provide a good, stable environment as this journey progresses. K.D. has had to stop working due to this, and Tammy is unable to work as she needs to be there to care for him.
