Hi folks. I’m sorry to do this I am financially exhausted after seven years of financial hardship. Well, to be completely honest, more like 18. But seven years ago, my career was destroyed by a toxic misogynist (who has since been fired—-for the fifth or sixth time, actually), and I was thrown into the gig economy for five years. Then Covid hit and I was living in nyc! It’s been a fun time.

Anyway I’ve been unemployed for over two years and I finally did get a job (yay!) but it doesn’t pay fantastically and I don’t have a credit card or any money at all as I am going through bankruptcy. I need this money for a down payment on a car so I can get to work without taking Uber. It’s going to be pricey anyway (17% apr!) so I have to take on a second job but at least I will be able to get the car to begin with. Transit isn’t an option and biking isn’t either as bike lanes exist here but end in random places and I’m in a pretty dicey area for traffic (plus I’m still recovering from long Covid and not in decent enough shape to ride 10 miles a day yet).
