On Friday, Kaysi, Corby and their three children experienced something no family should ever have to go through. A house fire. What started in their daughter’s room caused devastating damage throughout the home. Nearly everything they own has either been destroyed or is no longer salvageable. Most importantly, Corby barely made it out of the house safely. We are incredibly grateful that he was able to act quickly and get out, and that Kaysi and their children are safe as well.

The fire investigation is still underway, and they don’t yet know exactly how the fire started. Right now, Kaysi, Corby and their children are staying in a hotel while they try to process what happened and figure out what comes next. They weren’t able to salvage much from their home, which means they are facing the overwhelming task of replacing basic necessities and eventually rebuilding their lives from the ground up.

Hotel expenses and the cost of clothing, toiletries, food, household necessities, and everything else a family of five needs are adding up quickly. We know so many people have already reached out asking, “How can we help?” This is an opportunity to come together and help Kaysi, Corby and their children through the days and weeks ahead. Any donation, no matter the amount, will help provide immediate necessities and give their family some financial breathing room as they navigate temporary housing, insurance, replacing their belongings, and ultimately finding a path forward.
