Help Kayo to attend the Oxbow School of Art
Donation protected
Living in a community of artists and free spirits, I often get asked what it's like to have a high schooler in these times. My son Kayo is a bright-eyed, kind soul that has always found the magic in things. During this junior year of high school, between the pandemic and the stressed-out adults in his life, Kayo has significantly lost his positive stride and is becoming less inspired by his future and life in general.
Last month, we had wonderful news that Kayo was accepted into the Oxbow School of Art Semester program. He submitted a self-portrait and personal essay based on his teachers' recommendations, and Oxbow followed through with a substantial scholarship. Kayo is thrilled to have the opportunity to attend this amazing school for the first semester of his senior year. We are suddenly faced with the task of coming up with the remaining $10,000 by the end of July to send him.
This could be the path that gets Kayo on track again and reinvigorated about his life. We will be working hard this summer, and with support from our community, we could make this happen for him! I've had to learn over and over that it really does take a village to raise a healthy son.
Thank you for your help.
