Hi everyone,
I’m writing this with a heavy heart and more than a few tears. I never imagined I’d be creating a GoFundMe for something like this, but here I am — reaching out in a moment of real need.
A few weeks ago, my pride and joy — a Corvette I’ve poured my heart, soul, and savings into — suffered a catastrophic engine failure. In just one gut-wrenching moment, the car that represented so much more than just horsepower and paint… died.
This wasn’t just a car. It was my dream. It was therapy during hard times. It was late nights in the garage, scraped knuckles, busted tools, but always a sense of purpose. The car that helped me believe that maybe things could get better. And now, it’s sitting lifeless, silent, in my driveway — a painful reminder of something I can’t afford to fix.
The engine blew without warning — a violent knock, a plume of smoke, and then nothing. The shop diagnosed a total failure , damaged internals — the kind of repair that costs more than most of us have lying around. Between bills, rent, and trying to keep my head above water, there’s just no way I can cover this alone.
I’m humbly asking for help. Whether it’s $5 or just sharing this story, any support you can offer means the world to me. The estimate to rebuild or replace the engine is around $10,000 and I’m setting the goal based on that. Every dollar brings my dream one step closer to being alive again.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for even reading this. It’s hard to ask for help — especially for something that seems like “just a car” to some people. But to me, it’s so much more.
With gratitude,
kaynen carter
