My name is KayLynn, and I’m reaching out for help as I navigate the loss of my father, Jerry Lancaster. Jerry was a loving person who touched many lives, even though he may have lost his way once or twice. He was more than his mistakes—he was a father, a brother, and a son. I want people to remember him for his infectious laugh and his ability to make you forget the things you were worried about.
Right now, I’m facing the difficult task of arranging Jerry’s cremation and handling his affairs from across the country. He passed away in San Diego, California, while I’m in Grand Forks, North Dakota. The costs to travel, take care of the cremation, and retrieve his RV from impound are more than I can manage alone. The longer the RV stays in impound, the higher the fees become, and the medical examiner can only hold his remains for 30 days. I’m doing all of this by myself (with mental, spiritual and emotional support from family and friends), and the urgency of these circumstances has made it clear that I need support.
Any help will go directly toward covering the cremation, travel expenses, and the impound fees for Jerry’s RV. Your support will allow me to honor my dad’s memory and bring closure to our family during this difficult time, thank you for considering a donation and for helping me give Jerry the farewell he deserves.
