Kayley, the oldest of eight children, has always been a loving big sister and a source of strength for her family. After a complicated gynecological surgery at a young age, she and her fiancé Mark were overjoyed to discover they were expecting a child—a miracle they never thought possible. Their daughter has brought immense joy to everyone around her, greeting strangers with a bright, toothy smile and a cheerful “Hi!” wherever she goes.

Now, their family is facing a new challenge. Their toddler daughter is scheduled for surgery in late March to treat hip dysplasia. This procedure will require her to remain immobile for a period of time, and Kayley will need to take unpaid leave from work to care for her.
