Hey all. With permission, I have set this up for a dear family friend within the community’s daughter, Kayleigh Linton and her baby, sweet Ryder. Ryder is a 5-week-old baby who was taken by ambulance on June 23, 2025, to The Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters. He was running a fever and just not acting like he felt well. They did multiple tests and he was released 3 days ago. Tests showed he had an infection in his blood. They weren’t sure where it came from, but overall he was showing signs of doing better.

Two nights ago, the hospital called Kayleigh to bring baby Ryder back to the hospital to be admitted. One of his tests had come back abnormal and further testing was needed. He would be admitted for an unknown length of time to find answers and to find out how to move forward dealing with this extremely rare bacterial infection (there is little to no research on). Tests have currently been sent to Duke University to further engage in answers. Her mother, Kristy, has been by her and baby Ryder’s side every step of the way. However, they are having to pay out of pocket for food, gas, etc. Not to mention other family members are stepping in to take care of big brother, Kayce.

At this time, they are unsure where this infection is going to lead them in the future as far as medical expenses, hospital stays, doctor trips, etc. Let’s help baby Ryder’s mommy and family with lightening the load of expenses in hopes to eliminate some stress during this extremely scary time. If you cannot donate, Kayleigh has asked you to please just pray for him to be healthy.
