Help Kayleigh and Jon Save Their Dog Ellie
Donation protected
Our niece Kayleigh Jagemann and her boyfriend Jon Dansby have received devastating news regarding one of their two beloved dogs. For the last few days, Ellie was lethargic and had no appetite. Yesterday she was diagnosed with a very rare and fast-moving autoimmune disease that is threatening her life. She was put on steroids and survived the night, but this morning was having trouble standing. Kayleigh and Jon took her to the vet hospital for a blood transfusion in hopes that would buy time for her medicine to work. Ellie is staying overnight at the hospital and will undergo another blood transfusion to try to increase her red blood cell count and give her a fighting chance.
Kayleigh and Jon are committed to doing all they can to save Ellie, who will be 5 years old in July. She has always been full of energy, whether playing frisbee, going for hikes, or running at the beach. When not playing, she loves giving lots of kisses, cuddling up close, and sleeping in late. Everyone lights up when they meet her. She is an incredibly special dog who means the world to Kay and Jon, and to our entire family.
Unfortunately, the medical bills are adding up quickly (more than $4,500 thus far) making it incredibly challenging to keep up with limited funds. Please help us raise money to cover some of the costs to save our Ellie!
