Help Kayleen Save Her Beloved Cat Trippy
Donation protected
UPDATE: Trippy needs his leg amputated. It will be considerably less financially and it is the right choice for Trippy. I changed our goal to reflect this change.
Hi everyone. I hate asking for help especially financial but this could save a kitty that's become a member of our family. Trippy, is my daughter Kayleen's pet. Kayleen has had a battle with depression for years and recently got diagnosed with hypermobility disorder which has made it difficult to work. She rescued Trippy about 2 months ago and I have not seen her so happy in such a long time. He's her baby. She's been so responsible with taking care of his vet needs and providing him the best care. He goes everywhere with her. Last night there was an incident where he jumped out of the car while it was moving. It was a terrible accident. She rushed him to the vet hospital where they said he has an injury to his paw and also would need surgery because he has a dislocated his sacroiliac luxation. "What is Sacroiliac luxation? The sacroiliac joint is where the pelvis attaches to the spine. Sacroiliac luxation is dislocation of this joint and therefore detachment of the pelvis from the sacrum. This is a very common injury in both cats and dogs following trauma" (Copied from Google). The bill from the hospital was 762 from last night plus medications for him and they are saying his surgery will be $6,000-8,000 depending on the results of a ct scan which is $2,000. We also had to purchase special paper litter so it does not stick to his injured paw, a cage that his litter box would fit in, and a surgery suit to keep him from licking his wounds. I know it may seem like a lot for a cat but once again he's become a member of our family and my daughter's main source of happiness while going through a difficult time in her own life. If you made it this far thank you so much if you can donate we would be forever grateful and all the shares we can get will help ❤️
