Eaier this year, our sweet rescue dog Kaylee—just 2 years old—suffered a traumatic spinal injury after running into traffic outside the dog park. She was left paralyzed, and our hearts were shattered.
Faced with the possibility of euthanasia due to her extreme pain, we chose to give Kaylee a chance at life. We moved forward with a very expensive discectomy surgery to relieve nerve pressure, knowing it offered only a 50% chance of restoring movement.
While the surgery didn’t bring back her mobility, it gave her comfort—and hope. Against all odds, Kaylee recently began spinal walking, a rare and remarkable feat for a dog her size. She’s now in physical therapy, including water treadmill sessions, and zips around in her wheelchair with pure joy.
Kaylee is making progress every day and growing stronger with each step. Her spirit is unstoppable, and we’re so proud of how far she’s come.
We’re raising funds to help pay off her surgery and continue her rehab. If you’re able to support Kaylee’s journey, we’d be deeply grateful. Every bit of help means the world to us—and to her.
Thank you for reading and for loving animals like Kaylee.
