Kayla Lynn White is a 25-year-old mother of two, a student at Georgia Highlands, and someone who has always worked hard to build a better life for her family. Recently, Kayla faced a life-changing medical emergency. Due to complications from pre-eclampsia, she suffered a stroke and seizures, which forced her to deliver her daughter, Aliza, prematurely at just 28 weeks by emergency C-section. Baby Aliza is now in the NICU, fighting bravely with underdeveloped lungs and cardiac issues. She has been intubated and placed on a ventilator, but her spirit is strong, and her family is hopeful for her recovery. Aliza will remain in the hospital for months to come as she continues to grow and heal, facing many challenges ahead.
Kayla herself endured significant blood loss from hemorrhaging and has been diagnosed with epilepsy. She is now being released from the hospital, but the challenges are far from over. While Kayla is doing everything she can to support Aliza’s recovery, including pumping breast milk for her daughter, she is unable to work. Her husband, Adrian, is caring for their 1-year-old son and making daily trips to deliver Kayla’s milk to the hospital, all while trying to keep the family afloat. The emotional and financial burden on this young family is overwhelming.
This fundraiser is to help Kayla, Adrian, and their children cover their essential needs during this incredibly difficult time. Your support will go directly toward medical bills, housing, groceries, diapers, gas, electric, water, and other necessities while Kayla recovers and Baby Aliza remains in the NICU for months to come. This family has always worked hard and never asked for help before, but now they need their community more than ever. Please consider donating or sharing their story. Every gift, whether monetary or a prayer, is deeply appreciated. Thank you for helping Kayla, Aliza, and their loved ones as they fight for a brighter future.
