Help Kayla's Dream to See Taylor Swift Live
Donation protected
Hey everybody! My name is Kayla and I’m here to ask for your help to make a dream of mine come true.
I have been a fan of Taylor Swift ever since I can remember, something I share with my sister Emmy. We both love to blast her songs in the car or while cleaning. When The Eras Tour started, I was so excited at the possibility of seeing her live, but soon found out that she would not be coming to where I live.
I have a physical disability called Spinal Muscular Atrophy which causes my muscles to be extremely weak. Because of this, I use a wheelchair to get around. All of those factors make traveling very difficult, if not impossible. For those who don’t know, people are not allowed to stay in their wheelchairs on airplanes so flying is not an option for me. Long car rides are also a struggle because I get uncomfortable in my wheelchair if I stay in it for an extended period of time. After doing a bit of thinking, we have come up with a way to fulfill our dream and go see Taylor Swift live. An overnight train is accessible and very possible for me to do. If we were able to get tickets to her show, we could take a train there and back.
Here is where I need your help. As I’m guessing you have assumed already, this will be quite an expensive journey. After doing a bit of research and math, I am estimating this will all cost around $20,000. Here is what the money will be used for:
- Tickets to The Eras Show (for my sister, a parent, and myself).
- Tickets for an overnight train there and back (for my sister, a parent, and myself).
- An accessible rental car once we arrive.
- An accessible hotel room for multiple nights.
Any leftover money will be used for optional things like merch, costumes for the show, food, etc.
I appreciate any help you are able to give. Whether it be a dollar or a share, everything goes towards our final goal: seeing Taylor Swift live. I have been dreaming of this moment for quite literally my entire life so I am very excited and hopeful for this opportunity.
Thank you in advance for anything you are able to contribute!
Sincerely,
Kayla
