Help Kaylan Rebuild After the Cooper Apartment Fire
Donation protected
On June 23, a devastating six-alarm fire broke out at The Cooper Apartments in Fort Worth, displacing over 800 residents including my friend and coworker, Kaylan and her two cats, Hermes and Louis.
While Kaylan was fortunate to safely evacuate and recover some of her belongings, she’s now facing a different threat: Building 2, where she lived, is already showing signs of mold in nearby units. With limited access and growing health concerns, there’s no clear path to safely return and management has offered little communication or support.
Kaylan is navigating this uncertainty while trying to find new housing, replace essentials, and recover from the emotional toll of displacement. She’s the kind of person who shows up for others without hesitation and now it’s our turn to show up for her.
All funds raised will go directly toward helping Kaylan:
- Secure safe housing and cover fees that some apartments are not helping with
- Replace potential lost essentials like furniture
- Cover emergency and relocation expenses
Any amount helps, and if you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this with your network. Let’s surround Kaylan with the support and care she deserves.
Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.
