Help Kaylan Battle Alopecia
Donation protected

Hi, my name is Tonya. This is a fundraising event for a very special girl. She is just twelve years old. She began to have seizures and received all the standard treatments and studies to diagnose epilepsy, all of which can cause Alopecia. After an extended EEG test, her hair began to fall out. It is continuing to fall out.
She is beginning junior high school. She is at a very stressful time in her life, the transition from adolescent to teen. My goal is to help her family have a special wig made for her and pay for treatments for alopecia. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. She is a very special young lady with a generous heart. Please help her if you can.
Three types of alopecia exist:
Alopecia areata patchy: loss of coin-sized patches of hair on the scalp and other places on the body
Alopecia totalis: loss of all the hair on the scalp
Alopecia universalis: loss of all the hair on the scalp, face and body. It is looking like Kay may have totalis.
Children who suffer from alopecia face a variety of pressures and challenges. Suddenly, they begin standing out from peers with hair, when at this time in their lives all they may want is to fit in and be “normal.” Other children may make fun of or act differently around alopecia sufferers because of their lack of hair.
