Help Kayla & Tims Adoption Fund to become parents!

Donation protected

This is the Gonzalez family and everyone who is blessed enough to know them know what an absolutely amazing couple they are with hearts as big as the great state of Texas where they live. They have been together for 7 years and married for 3. They became proud homeowners 2 years ago.

Tim is 32 and a police officer. He is an avid fisherman and enjoys working out at the gym. He is also the entire family’s official outdoor grill master - especially for his brisket! For extra income, he works security at a local church. Kayla is 28 and a supervisor/trainer for the city’s animal control sector. She has been an animal lover since a very young age and was always bringing home strays of any kind. Kayla is very talented in remodeling and crafting - her custom made signs are beautiful! They have 2 sweet dogs, Mina and Daenerys and 2 kittys, Simon and Poppy. They are both extremely hardworking - always going above and beyond, and most importantly, they are Christians who love the Lord with all their hearts.

They are very much loved by their extended families, friends, neighbors and co-workers. They have always been available whenever any of us have ever asked for anything and we would like to give back to them and help with their dreams of becoming parents.

Their journey with parenthood to this point has not been easy… Kayla was initially diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome which is the leading cause of weight gain and infertility in females. Having PCOS, her OBGYN informed her that until she was able to lose quite a bit of weight,  she was not comfortable putting Kayla on medication to address the PCOS. Kayla decided to have gastric sleeve surgery in hopes of overcoming PCOS and finally having a baby. To date she has lost almost 100 lbs!

Kayla had additionally been diagnosed with Factor V Leiden which is an inherited blood clotting disorder. Because of her desire to become pregnant, her Hematologist took her off of oral medication and she had to give herself shots in her stomach twice a day for over two years.

They continued to seek specialists in hopes of finding out why Kayla was still unable to conceive, and it was eventually discovered that both of her fallopian tubes were almost 100% blocked. They met with a fertility specialist and decided to, once again, see if surgery could help their chances...
During the surgery, the doctor ascertained that only one out of the two fallopian tubes was operable. They were still happy and hopeful post-surgery after being assured that pregnancy was possible even with only one tube open. However, these hopes were dashed a month later when they were told that it had closed back up again and another surgery was not an option. They continued to pray and asked family and friends to join them in prayer to seek God’s will for their future.

Their next step was to visit with another specialist who agreed to perform in-vitro fertilization even though this route was very expensive with an extremely low success rate due to Kayla’s Factor V Leiden disorder. They met with a Fetal Maternal Specialist who then conferred with the Hematologist. Kayla and Tim were delivered more devastating news that it would be life threatening for not only Kayla, should she become pregnant, but also for the baby due to the possibility of blood clot development in both of them.

This journey has been absolutely heartbreaking for not only these two amazing people but also for those of us who love and care about them while having to stand by helplessly and watch their struggle.

After over two years of praying for God to open doors, extreme soul searching, heartache, tears, anger, and depression, Kayla accepted that although she would never be able to physically conceive and carry a child, she did not have to go through the rest of her life with the ache of empty arms, especially after learning about the vast number of children who are in need of loving homes. Now they are ready to start the adoption process!

These two are SO happy and excited to finally have a solid plan for growing their family. They have not only become stronger as a couple through this, but they have grown closer to our Heavenly Father as they had to learn to lean more on Him while trusting and surrendering to Him instead of taking this burden on alone. They are feeling loved, energized and, most important, ultimately having some hope, although this may prove to be a long road too due to the adoption costs. They know they serve an almighty God though who is bigger than their fears and can move mountains.

HERE IS THE NEED AND THIS IS WHERE YOU COME IN

Tim and Kayla need $32,500 to start this exciting new journey of parenthood through adoption. In their public service careers, they are not making tons of money and it would take them years to save up this amount. They did not ask for this help but they need it and are very grateful and humbled. And we as their family and friends have a chance to ensure that a sweet little baby will be brought into a loving, caring Christian family. I cannot tell you what a blessing and how blessed this child would be to spend the rest of his/her life living in a home with such unconditional love!

WHAT WILL THESE FUNDS BE USED FOR?

This amount includes a $500 application fee, $2500 for the adoption seminars, $3000 for home studies, $7500 in child placement fees, and an additional $19,000 for adoption finalization.

 SO HERE ARE OUR GOALS

  • Everyone who sees this gives if they are able,  even $25 goes a long way.

  • Everyone who gives SHARES! There is power in numbers! So please after you give, share it on your social media platforms, community groups, with family members and friends.

On behalf of Tim and Kayla, THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for giving to this life changing cause and for including them in your prayers. Your gift is such a blessing and you have no idea of the wonderful changes you will be a part of, not only in their lives, but also a baby’s life, forever. ❤️❤️
