Kayla Funderburg tested positive for the BRCA gene, giving her an 85% chance of developing breast cancer. Because of this, she’s getting a double mastectomy in February.

Without this surgery, doctors have told Kayla it’s not a matter of IF she’ll develop breast cancer, but WHEN.

It’ll take her a minimum of 3 months to recover. Even when she returns, she’ll be working limited hours depending on her healing process.

Kayla is 25 and works full-time as a hairstylist in her own suite, leaving her without an income as she heals.
