My name is Kayla, and I am a first-generation college student at Wayne State University, majoring in Biochemistry on the pre-med track. My dream is to become a doctor, and I have been working and saving as much as I can to continue my education. Navigating college as a first-generation student has been challenging, especially when it comes to understanding all the resources available and dealing with unexpected financial obstacles. Despite my best efforts, I am currently unable to register for classes due to an outstanding balance with the university.
This setback has put a hold on my education and is pushing me back from reaching my goals. I have been doing everything I can to resolve this on my own, but it hasn’t been enough. Being able to return to Wayne State would mean everything to me—it would allow me to continue pursuing my dream of becoming a doctor and move forward with even more determination. I am reaching out for support because every donation, no matter the size, or even sharing my story, will help me get back to school and continue my journey.
Thank you for your kindness and support. Your help will make a real difference in my life and future.
