My name is Mikayla O’Halloran, and I am honoured to have been selected to represent Australia in the disciple of Cutting at the National High School Rodeo Finals in Lincoln, Nebraska this July. This is the largest youth rodeo in the world, and being chosen to compete on this stage is a once in a lifetime opportunity that I have worked incredibly hard to achieve.

Competing in Cutting at this level comes with significant costs, especially when travelling internationally. Some of these costs include:

• Horse hire and transportation of them to the event

• Stable hire and bedding

• Feed and care costs

• Training access and practice cattle

• Travel, accommodation, and transport expenses

These costs add up quickly, and while my family and I are doing everything we can to fund this journey, we are reaching out for support to help make this dream possible.

Representing Australia is an honour I don’t take lightly. I am committed to giving my absolute best in Nebraska — not only for myself, but for my team, my community, and everyone who believes in me. Any contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward the essential expenses required for me to compete safely and successfully at the Finals.
