The Glendale Nursing Home family is collecting for our beloved mother, sister, friend, and one of the best caregivers Glendale has, Kayla McCoy. Kayla is one of the strongest people I know, as five and a half years ago she WON her fight with aggressive breast cancer, having a double mastectomy at the young age of 26, right after having her baby girl. Now, almost 6 years later and a mother of 5 children ages 16 years to 1 and a half, she found out last month that her cancer is back and metastasized to her bones. It's spread throughout her entire back, including hips, pelvis, sacrum, and spine. She has stage 4 cancer with no cure. She said, "I have been experiencing such excruciating pain, especially in my hips, for almost a year with no answers besides arthritis." I can only imagine the pain she must have been in and is still in every day, and working through it for almost a year. Kayla wants to fight and do all she can so she has the chance to see her children grow up. Her Glendale Family does not want her to worry about anything but fighting, so we are reaching out in hopes to raise some money for her bills and everyday expenses.
