Help Kayla & Jose Heal After a Devastating Car Accident
On a quiet night after a date, Kayla and Jose were driving home when their lives changed forever. A car ran a red light at high speed, crashing into the driver’s side where Kayla sat. Her airbags did not deploy.
Kayla was critically injured and had to be airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center, where she underwent an emergency 8-hour surgery. She suffered:
• A collapsed lung
• Lacerations to her liver and spleen
• A facial laceration
• A severe neck artery bleed
She even had to be resuscitated during the operation. Her condition was so critical that her survival that night was nothing short of a miracle.
Jose, my brother, was also seriously hurt. He was taken to St. Mary Medical Center, where he was treated for:
• Severe facial injuries
• Broken teeth
• Deep cuts on his face and legs
• Significant bruising and trauma
Why We’re Asking for Help
Kayla and Jose will both be out of work for an extended time as they recover from their injuries. They work together at the same company and now face a long road of healing—physically, emotionally, and financially.
Kayla is also a devoted mom to two little girls who rely on her love and care every day. Jose, while not their biological father, plays a loving and active role in raising them.
Together, they’ve built a life full of compassion and joy. They love to hike and spend time in nature, and they find peace in caring for their dogs, chickens, rabbits, and a thriving garden. Their home is a small sanctuary of love and hard work—now turned upside down by this terrible event.
How You Can Help
We’re asking for your support to help with:
• Medical bills
• Lost income
• Ongoing treatment and recovery
• Support for their home and animals during this time
Any donation, big or small, means the world to us. Even just sharing this page helps more than you know.
Let’s help Kayla and Jose rebuild. Let’s give them the time, resources, and love they need to heal.
Thank you for standing with them.
—With gratitude,
Claudio Arocho, Jr. (Jose’s Brother)
