Help Kayla Jaiden with medical bills and a new car
Donation protected
Imagine driving home in your new small car with your dog on a rainy night on a busy expressway, suddenly losing control of the vehicle, and coming back to consciousness as you’re being cut out of the now twisted, flattened, jumble of metal.
You’re told by first responders that a semi tractor trailer DROVE OVER AND CRUSHED the car…and they thought you were DOA. And worse, your baby dog is nowhere to be found.
That’s what happened to our friend Kayla and their pup Draco on Wednesday evening, December 14. Somehow Draco escaped with several lacerations, was missing overnight, and was amazingly recovered by a lost dog search team the next day and treated at the vet…he’s home now recuperating with his parents.
Kayla was not so lucky. We need immediate assistance with initial medical bills and getting a replacement car. The vehicle was not yet registered with insurance, so we’re not sure of the coverage status. Kayla just started their job, so they won't get paid time off, having just finished training when the accident happened.
Kayla is honestly just in the worst possible financial situation with this accident. We are more than lucky that Kayla and Draco are still alive and in recovery but we would like to help relieve the burden of bills and transportation.
On top of the wreck, Kayla also needs surgery soon for their colitis diagnosis, which is very expensive. The new job was going to help with that expense, and without a car, it’s all much tougher.
Kayla was doing very well and their worries were lessened once they had this car and job; now they nearly lost everything in one flash, including their own life. If you can donate, it would be a major help. We know Kayla is more than appreciative of the support for the pup’s bills, so thanks in advance for assisting Kayla. If you are unable to donate, please share and pass it along.
