Hi, my name is Kayla Woods and I live with my brother and my mother. I am in high school and participate in many activities: I take piano lessons, perform in a jazz and Motown band, and I also teach music at a non-profit community music school. I also received a full-ride scholarship to Belmont University and I am planning to go for Music.

I was recently struck by an 18-wheeler in a multi-vehicle accident. My car is totaled and it was my family’s only source of transportation. That car was how I got to school, rehearsals, and lessons, and how I helped my mom with errands and getting my brother where he needed to go. I thank God that I made it out of the car alive. I am suffering from a concussion, a laceration on my inner right eyelid, bruising and more. My laptop was also in the car during the incident, which is making it difficult for me to stay on top of my schoolwork. I’m raising money to help my family replace our car and cover legal expenses as we navigate this situation. Any support will go directly toward helping us regain stability during this difficult time.
