Hi guys, my name is Joe Grohal and I’m looking for everyone’s help in defending my daughter during a brutal custody battle.
Kayla has been enduring abuse from her mother as well as her younger siblings. Kayla is only 11 years old and has had to grow up faster than one should. She has had to be the voice of reason; she’s had to advocate for her younger siblings and herself. All I’m trying to do is hopefully allow my children to have a normal childhood or at least what is left to salvage from.
Kayla has been an honorable student and avid artist with so much talent she has ahead of her. Her grades have been slipping from all this continuous mental strain and physical abuse. A child should be preoccupied on what’s important friends, schooling, extracurricular activity and family values. Kayla enjoys hanging out and playing with her siblings and Step siblings and extended family. Everyone has been absolutely tainted with a concern for Kayla‘s well-being especially those who are most closest with her and try to console her on a nightly basis especially returning days back to her mother’s
Kayla has endured not just physical abuse that has left bruises for well over a week, but the hardest part that Kayla expresses is the mental, emotional, and psychological abuse that the mother puts on her as well as the younger siblings.
We are looking to raise funds to support all the attorney's fees. At this point, we have exhausted and invested a great deal of financial strain after continuous years of back-and-forth with court. Kayla will now need her own attorney since her mother had gotten her arrested for battery in the first degree even though it was truly self-defense.
We live in a sad state of Florida, which is one of the few states that allows corporal punishment. Though I may not agree with corporal punishment, it is legal in the state of Florida, and clearly, we have some people that abuse this law. If everyone could find it in their hearts to take the time and really understand the severity of a situation that has gotten completely out of control, it would be much appreciated.
There are so many more details that could be added to this story, but for the sake of my children's sanity and privacy, I have to leave out crucial details that are completely appalling. I’m sure I could leave everyone to the imagination of some of the heinous things that have occurred to my children. Prayers and blessings are always much appreciated and needed.
Kaylas first appearance in court is approaching very fast at the beginning of June.
