Most of you know me for those who don’t my name is Kayla! I am a mother to four human children and three fur babies. Kimber is my 5 year old German Shepard. She is an absolute energetic nut and the biggest love bug and protector to my kiddos.

Last Friday when I got home from work she wasn’t being herself and when I got her outside she peed blood. I immediately brought her to the emergency vet in Brentwood. We did all the diagnostics and found free fluid in her stomach. The next day an ultrasound was performed which identified a mass on her liver. This mess had ruptured and was causing the bleeding into her stomach. They were unable to definitively say if it was an abscess or cancer. With Kimber only being five there was no way I could not move forward with a surgery being so unsure of what the mass was. So last Saturday she underwent exploratory surgery, where a large malodorous mass was removed from her liver. I was home with her this past week, monitoring her and making sure she leaves her staples alone. She is back to her normal spirits, but definitely still very sore. We still do not have the update on the results from the biopsy.

All the diagnostics, the ultrasound and ultimately the surgery have cost me $7900. I am embarrassed to ask for help but I need it. Please if you are able to consider donating to help cover kimbers expenses if you can’t please share ❤️ we appreciate it!!
