Hi, my name is Kayla Prosser and recently my family is going through an extremely rough time. My partner James, the father to my daughter Averie, went into the hospital on May 14, 2025, and ended up intubated. After eight days on the ventilator, they ended up inserting a trach. He was in the hospital from May 14, 2025, until June 19, 2025, and is now recovering at home with home care and outpatient physical therapy.
He lays tile for a living, which is manual labor, so he is unable to return to his job until he builds up strength. He is the last person to sit around at home and do nothing; he wants more than anything to return back to work. He ended up having three blood infections which ended up turning him hypoxic and then having septic shock. We are falling behind on bills and the last thing I want is to be homeless with my three-year-old daughter out on the streets. We applied for disability for him, but everyone knows that takes time; we’re still waiting to hear back. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I hate even having to come on here and ask for help.
