Help Kaye Kick Cancers Butt!

Our beautiful friend Kaye has been given the horrific news that she has a rare aggressive cancer at an advanced stage. Psudomyxoma peritoni (PMP) for short, or ‘rare scary as shit cancer in the lower abdomen’.
After an initial work up by her local health services and then Peter Mac Cancer Centre in Melbourne she is facing a long and challenging journey ahead.
Specialists initially thought they could start with surgery, however, now feel the tumours are too inoperable and Kaye needs systemic chemotherapy to reduce their size. Next is extensive surgery to strip the cancer from her abdomen and remove part of her bowel, giving her a hopefully temporary colostomy. Before the surgery is complete a highly specialised heated chemotherapeutic drug is poured into the open body to bath the internal areas before the surgeons close her abdomen up.
She will initially be cared for in Intensive Care, and the recovery time is months after this type of surgery, which may now be performed in Sydney.
Kaye has 7 children and whilst some are adults her 3 younger ones are still very much dependent on her. Kaye lives in country Victoria, so travel to the big city hospitals is more expensive, and physically draining. Kaye is one of the most selfless people we know, always being there for others.
Earlier this year she started her life long dream career as a midwife, again caring for others, after years of study, only for it to be placed on hold as she battles this disease. The prognosis for PMP cancers is not good but Kaye is determined this disease will not beat her and will not define her.
Please help us to raise as much money as possible to assist Kaye and her family so they need not worry over medical bills, travel expenses, accommodation, and everything else needed as she fights this disease.
