Kayden Malone, my son, has always been passionate about running. He began his track journey in 7th grade at Belvidere Central Middle School and quickly found his stride, joining the Varsity Track Team at Belvidere North High School as a Freshman. His dedication and talent led him to compete with Rockford F.I.R.E. Club Track in the summer of 2025, where he qualified for and participated in the Junior Olympics in Houston, Texas.

In November 2025, Kayden faced a major challenge when he underwent meniscus and ACL surgery. Through determination and hard work, he made a full recovery—quicker than expected—and is now back on the track, stronger than ever. His resilience and love for running have opened new doors, and he has recently qualified and been invited to run internationally with Coast 2 Coast International Track and Field Competition in Australia, representing TEAM USA this summer.

This fundraiser will help cover travel expenses and give Kayden the experience of a lifetime in Australia. He is extremely grateful for this opportunity and thankful for all of the support from friends, family, and the community. Running is Kayden’s passion, and he is excited to wear USA on his chest!
