My name is Kathy Davis, and I’m creating this GoFundMe for my best friend of 28 years, Kaycee Phillips. Last Friday in Matlacha, Kaycee was in a terrible car accident when her brakes failed. She hit another vehicle at about 40 mph and totaled her car.

Kaycee was rushed to the hospital and underwent major surgery. She now has pins and plates in her leg, pins in her feet and knee, and will be immobilized for the next three months. This accident has not only caused severe physical pain but has also put her livelihood at risk.

Kaycee owns a housekeeping business, and her vehicle is essential for her work. Without a car, she won’t be able to return to her clients when she recovers, and she could lose everything she’s worked so hard for. While her niece and friends will help with some houses during her recovery, Kaycee urgently needs assistance to purchase a new vehicle.

She also faces mounting medical bills, has no health insurance, and will need help with basic expenses like food and utilities while she’s unable to work.
