After last night's storms, my life was turned upside down. I lost a 30-40 foot pine tree in my yard, and the front half of my roof lost a lot of shingles. I'm on disability and used to be a DoorDash driver until my car died about a year and a half ago. Around the same time, my HVAC stopped working, which made things even harder for my Shepard/Husky/St. Bernard mix. Without proper climate control, my pet started having seizures, and now needs medication that costs $70 a month. On top of that, we've faced two cancer surgeries, and I'm still working to pay down those vet bills. With the roof damage, I'm worried about leaks and further problems, but I just don't know how to get it fixed on my own.
The funds raised here will first go toward repairing my roof so I can keep my home safe and dry. Next, I'll use them to pay off the high vet bill for my beloved companion, who has been through so much. I also have another huge pine tree that is dead and needs to be safely removed before it becomes a hazard. If there’s anything left, I dream of having a reliable car again, but right now, my focus is on the urgent needs.
I want to thank my neighbors who have already helped me with the clean up after the storm. And to anyone else who helps me in any way in the future, thank you is not even enough to express my gratitude. Your support means the world to me and my furry friend, and I appreciate every bit of kindness and generosity.
