Help Me Regain My Independence
 After a Life-Changing Accident

Hi, my name is Kay, and I’m asking for help during one of the hardest chapters of my life. In 2022, I was in a devastating car accident that left me with serious, permanent damage to my spine and a severely deformed foot . Everything changed in an instant. I went from living an independent life to struggling with daily pain, limited mobility, and the reality of rebuilding from the ground up. Despite everything, I refused to give up. Over time, I slowly began putting the pieces of my life back together. I pushed through the pain and fear and started finding purpose again. By June, I was finally able to take a meaningful step forward — I began offering mobile hair care services for the elderly and disabled in my community. Helping others who are homebound like me gave me a sense of purpose and dignity again. I also returned to college, determined to create a better future for myself despite my disabilities. For the first time since my accident, I felt hope. Then, everything changed again. I suffered another fall that severely worsened my already damaged spine. Now, I am facing even greater physical limitations, more intense pain, and the possibility of additional medical procedures, including surgery. On top of that, I have lost my vehicle — which was my only connection to the outside world. Without transportation, I cannot get to my medical appointments, continue my small business, attend school, or even handle basic necessities like grocery shopping. Let’s not forget my animals .  My income is below poverty due to lack of work and I am desperately holding on .  After I pay my bills I have nothing .  I don’t have the money to buy dog food I am completely isolated. I’ve been to every resource but their funding has been dropped unless you are currently homeless which is what I’m trying to avoid .  I can’t be homeless w my mobility issues and no car but it’s right around the corner if I don’t ask for help .  I currently need to get them food, hire a dog walker and trainer and get my dogs to the vet for flea medication and I can’t even do that without a car or money and I cannot rehome them they are all I have
I don’t have family or friends I can rely on for help. I am facing this alone. I worked so hard to rebuild my life after my accident, and now I feel like everything I fought for is slipping away. How Your Support Will Help: - Secure reliable transportation so I can attend medical appointments and regain mobility - help me care for my emotional support animals Continue my mobile hair care services for elderly and disabled clients - Help cover basic living expenses while I recover and stabilize - Support my return to college so I can build a sustainable future - Assist with medical-related costs and recovery needs More than anything, your support will help me regain my independence — something many people take for granted, but something I have fought so hard to hold onto. This isn’t just about financial help. It’s about restoring hope, dignity, and the ability to live, not just survive. If you can donate, share, or simply keep me in your thoughts, it would mean more than I can express. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for being part of my fight to regain my life.
 With gratitude, Kay
