Hi, my name is Kay. I'm a single mom of three doing everything I can to keep a roof over our heads.

This past year has been incredibly difficult. First, my children’s father was laid off, which meant the full financial weight fell on me for over six months. I did my best to carry us through, but five months in, I lost my own job too.

I’ve since found new work and I’m showing up every day, doing my best to rebuild — but I fell behind while waiting for that first paycheck, and I just haven’t been able to catch up.

Right now, I’m facing the very real threat of eviction and need to raise $3,000 by July 23rd to stay in my home.

In one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made, I allowed my sons to temporarily live with their father — not because I don’t want them with me, but because I want stability for them while I fight to get back on my feet.

This isn’t easy to share. I’ve reached out to churches, local programs, and nonprofits — most are out of funding. I’ve created journals and books to try and sell for extra income, but I simply need help catching up right now so I don’t lose everything.
