On Valentine’s Day my sweet aunt, Kay Hedspeth was hit by a car as she was leaving a store to walk to her vehicle. Her sustained injuries include broken ribs and collarbone, dislocated shoulder, a broken leg, knee damage, breaks to her pelvic bone and vertebrae damage. She had surgery on 2/15 to help repair the broken leg and one knee and will not be able to put pressure on the leg for a minimum of 3 months. Surgery to repair her pelvis is scheduled for tomorrow 2/17. Full recovery time could be 6 months or more before she is able to get back on her feet and will involve rehabilitation.
For those of you who don’t know Kay, she is the proud owner of a pet grooming shop in Gloucester, Virginia. It is a one woman shop and she has a big heart for all of her furry clients. Kay is one of the kindest and most caring people you will ever meet and is loved dearly by those who have the privilege of knowing her.
It is too soon to say if any medical costs will fall on her to pay but one thing we know for sure is that while she is not grooming she is not making a living. She has a daughter and a Doberman fur baby that need caring for and she needs your help. I’m asking you to please donate to support Kay in keeping her business and supporting her income. We as her family want to alleviate any financial stress to help her focus solely on her healing. We also ask that you keep her in your prayers, leave some encouraging comments for her on the fundraiser page and please please share the link any way you can so we can keep it going.
Thank you and God bless.
