Help Kay Get Life-Saving Treatment

My name is Matt. I'm trying to raise funds to help save the life of a 15 year old girl.

One month ago Kay was a healthy 15 year old high school student. She started getting headaches and fainted. Her parents took her to the local hospital where she was diagnosed with Encephalitis (Inflammation in brain). She has been in the intensive care unit ever since. She cannot talk and has many involuntary body movements/seizures. She has been given IVIG treatment and has started a second round. So far there has been no improvement. It looks like she will need to be air lifted from the local hospital in Tacloban City(Philippines) to a hospital in Manila, for Plasma treatment and better care.

I have never met Kay but I do know her mother. She has not left Kays side the whole time.

ICU costs about $400.00 per day and each IVIG treatment costs about $8,000. So far,

her parents have paid for these with help of family and friends. The cost for treatment/recovery is overwhelming. I don't know how health care is supposed to work in the Philippines but I can tell you that they ask for funds upfront, before giving treatment.

Any help that you could give would be appreciated and help with Kay's medical expenses.
