Help Kay and Ryan recover from a robbery in SoMa

In the heart of San Francisco, in the SoMa district, a humble Burmese restaurant took root a few months ago. For Kay and Ryan, an immigrant couple, it wasn't just a business venture; it was a dream nurtured over countless kitchen conversations, where the aroma of fragrant spices and the memories of their homeland intertwined. Their story is one of hard work and resilience, bringing San Franciscans crafted dishes that whispered tales of their Burmese heritage. With each bite, patrons tasted not only the rich flavors but also the love and determination of a couple who had crossed oceans, carrying with them the essence of their culture. As one patron puts it, “they are the best of what America is”.
Their journey has been heartbreaking at each step. From delays in licensing to surprise news that the building they are operating in is being bought by the city and converted into a housing project, to now a brazen robbery on Sept 13th during restaurant operations. The perps stole the cash register and POS machine among other things. They also shook up the staff, who are afraid to return to work. How much more can this small business take?
We in SoMa have become the dumping ground for the city and every other day we hear of another small businesses closing. While big box stores like WholeFoods (Market and 8th closed this year) can offset their losses, small businesses face a much more severe impact. They not only close, but hurt the business owners and the community permanently. The San Franciscan government has done nothing to help protect local businesses. The continue to do nothing to improve safety on our streets.
Please help us in raising some money to support Ryan and Kay get their business back up and running. Please help us in SoMa to ensure our small businesses survive the doom loop. 100% of the funds go to Ryan and Kay to give them a fighting chance.
