Help Kay and Chang Overcome Medical and Financial Strain

Our family needs your help. Kay's life was turned upside down when her husband, Chang, suddenly suffered a debilitating stroke in May of 2025, leaving the left side of his body paralyzed. Kay and Chang both worked at the small restaurant that they both owned together. But, understandably, after his stroke, they had to close down for a while which left the family with no income and no safety during this time.
It was a long and scary journey for her and her three kids, especially in the first few months. Chang was in and out of several emergency rooms in different hospitals for months, dealing with all the complications of the stroke. Early on, he needed emergency surgery to remove part of his skull cap to mitigate the effects of swelling in the brain. This was a particularly stressful and terrifying period of time for everyone in the family.
Now, almost a year later, Chang has been in a nursing care home for a while, unable to come and stay at home with his family because of the level of care he needs. Even with all this stress for the family, there are the huge medical bills and other expenses that need to be paid off. The cost of care and surgeries that had to happen to save his life are crippling to a family with no income. While Kay is back to work, opening the restaurant on her own, it's impossible to pay off the debts, and working is just not enough. Not only that, but working on her own is taxing on the body, especially at 60 years old. In just a few months, all her kids will be in college, and the expenses for their education will just keep adding up, and she wants them all to not be limited in their choices.
But still, even with all the scary experiences, Chang and our family choose to stay positive. If you know Chang, you know that he is an unfalteringly positive person. Everyone is his friend, and he makes everyone smile.
